Precautions for vacuum pump disassembly and cleaning for vacuum pump maintenance

2022-01-10

A vacuum pump is a device that uses various methods to generate, improve and maintain a vacuum in a closed space. A vacuum pump can be defined as a device or device that uses mechanical, physical, chemical or physical-chemical methods to pump the container to obtain a vacuum. Any pump that uses mechanical motion (rolling or sliding) to obtain vacuum is called a mechanical vacuum pump. After a period of use, the vacuum pump needs maintenance, and cleaning the vacuum pump is one of the things that needs to be done. Some vacuum pump users ask a question, what are the precautions for vacuum pump disassembly and cleaning for vacuum pump maintenance?

The oil-type vacuum pump has some failures due to insufficient maintenance or such and other problems during use. Vacuum pump maintenance experts recommend the following steps:

1. Cut off the power and remove the vacuum pump from the vacuum system.

2. Use gravity method or pressurization method to release and collect dirty oil to avoid polluting the environment.

3. Remove the belt and pulley product key (two-stage rotary vane vacuum pump includes the belt).

4. First remove the low vacuum end, remove the rear end cover, and then take out the low vacuum rotor, rotary vane and spring, etc.

5. Remove the front end cover and take out the high vacuum rotor, rotary vane and spring, etc.

6. Remove the sight glass, exhaust valve, exhaust cover, etc.

7. Clean the removed metal parts with gasoline and dehydrate with alcohol. Rubber parts can be dissolved in 15% sodium hydrofluoride. Boil to remove oil. For burr or rusted parts, lightly grind with whetstone or metallographic sandpaper to remove rust spots and burrs. Cleaned parts must be dried.

8. When assembling, first install the rear stage, hold up the springs and rotary vanes and put them into the rotor, then put them into the inlet vacuum pump chamber, install the front end cover, install the positioning pins, and tighten the screws evenly and symmetrically. After assembly, it should be ensured that the rotation is flexible and even. After installing the front stage rotor and the rear end cover, install the exhaust valve (the exhaust valve sheet should be close to the valve seat) and other parts, such as gas ballast devices.

Precautions for vacuum pump disassembly and cleaning for vacuum pump maintenance

1. The disassembly and cleaning of the mechanical vacuum pump should be carried out in a clean room. When dismantling and washing, you should pay attention to the original installation position, square and combination tightness of each component, and make a record together to avoid wrong installation.

2. When taking out the rotary vane and rotor, you must pay attention to tighten the rotary vane with your hands. The reason is that the rotary vane is subject to a large spring force, and it is easy to fly out of your hand accidentally, which will damage the edge or surface of the rotary vane and cannot be used continuously. .

3. The dismantled parts should be separated and handled properly to avoid bumping or losing each other.

4. When installing, a small amount of vacuum pump oil should be applied to the surface of the rolling part to make it smooth. Pay attention to cleaning, and prohibit iron filings, mud sand and dust from falling into the vacuum pump. The installed vacuum pump should roll easily without unevenness and blockage.

5. After the final assembly, add the vacuum pump oil from the oil filling hole to the oil mark line.

6. Before starting the machine, a small amount of vacuum pump oil should be written into the suction port to make the vacuum pump fully smooth. (The vacuum pump maintenance manufacturer indicates that the reinstalled vacuum pump should be tested for several hours to investigate whether it has reached the application request)
